Lower Columbia Basin Starting Off Year As One Of The Driest; West Slope Snowpack Near Normal

According to the NOAA’s National Weather Service, 2013 has started off as one of the driest years on record for the inland valleys of southwest Washington and northwest Oregon, which straddle the Columbia River in what is generally considered the wet side of the basin.
