Washington Governor Proposes Update To Water Quality Standards With Higher ‘Fish Consumption Rate’

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee this week announced his proposed update to the state’s water quality standard in which the state’s fish consumption rate would be increased from one serving per month to 175 grams per day, same as Oregon’s rate.

The higher the rate, the tougher the standards.
